The workshops are led by experienced paper artist Shobhna Patel. Shobhna has specialised in all things paper since 2009, and teaches workshops for all ages at multiple venues across the country, art institutions and schools in the UK. She also delivers workshops via Zoom to international students. Shobhna strives to pass on her knowledge to others, to inspire them and to support their own personal well-being, through creativity.

Shobhna is an author illustrator, working from her home studio in North Lincolnshire.

In her own practise, Shobhna creates intricate and innovative paper art and sculptures, using contemporary paper-engineering methods. She loves experimenting with different textures and colours within her illustrations and thoroughly enjoys the problem-solving that goes into the engineering of her paper creations.

Shobhna has had multiple books published: The Nutcracker: A Papercut Pop-up Book, One-Sheet Sculpture: The Great Outdoors, One-Sheet Sculpture: Amazing Creatures, and others.
