Join us for a creative bookbinding workshop and explore how to create an A5 coptic stitch book, featuring hard covers wrapped in beautiful vintage silk sari fabrics.
During this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the coptic stitch binding technique, how to make your own bookcloth, sew signatures, and gain an introduction to essential bookbinding tools, materials and techniques. Shobhna will share her expertise, key tips, and technical do’s and dont’s of this artform.
All equipment and materials will be provided - there will be multiple fabric colours and patterns for you to choose from. No previous experience is required, as Shobhna will carefully guide you through each step. Refreshments will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch and a waterproof bag to take your finished book home.
